Saturday 3rd May 2008 - Blackswan, Bristol
Another blinder of a night - big up all involved!
The day started nice and sunny and set the vibe for the whole evening: Awesome!
The rig was stonking as usual and Current Value didn't waste any time putting the speakers
(and the crowd) through their paces with fast kicking drum'ndrum tearout riddims and amazing
noises. The hardcore that followed really got everyone going with Deathmachine and Simon
Underground banging it out like the pro's they are. Then came Matt Green rocking all of his old
Corrupt catalogue and some unheard smashers! Upstairs saw some mad scratching on the brand new
Rane mixer from Awkward as well as an impromtue MC battle with Oscar - we shall definitely be
having those two back! Stivs and Mattycore had the floor bouncing to teh point where it was about
to cave in! The graffiti was the best yet - look out for pics soon!
Expect more madness when
we're back after summer...
Saturday 1st March 2008 - Blackswan, Bristol
Back for Spring with a huge lineup including Deathchant head-honcho
Hellfish combining forces with Bryan Fury as the Axe Gabba Murda Mob
and a surprise performance from Tester (USA, Trilogy Sound) kicked off
this massive event. With backup from Dolphin, Scheme Boy and Simon
Underground as well as all the Drum Disciples Residents we had a huge
party on our hands and the crowds did not disappoint, nor be
disappointed!! Hellfish smacked out some monster scratching over
Bryan Fury's whombing kickdrums whilst Tester had the whole of the
upstairs bouncing with their hands in the air to his own Ragga Jungle
anthems! We also had another huge Graffiti Wall and a new Digital
Graff Wall installed - you had to be there to experience this!
Bring on the next - 03/05/08!
Saturday 13th October 2007 - Blackswan, Bristol
The first instalment of Drum Disciples was a blinder, bringing the some
of the best hardcore Bristol had seen for a long while! With Simon
Underground filling in for DJ Producer excellently with his special
Hardstore brand of darkside music an being followed by Limewax all the
way from the Ukraine, playing a banging set of his hard slamming D'n'B. Upstairs
was nothing to be shy about with some fast cutting quality scratched HipHop and
all the residents for the night rinsed it!! The live graffiti also went
off with some quality boards being created along with some interesting stuff
happening on the new digital graffiti wall...
An amazing start to a new and innovative underground dance music night in
Bristol!! Bring on the next!!
